Dr. Marina Mattos is an experienced engineer dedicated to optimizing global supply chains. With over 15 years of industry expertise she has a diverse background driving innovation in retail, logistics, operations, technology, and academia. Currently serving as the Director of Supply Chain at a multinational corporation, she is committed to actively create a supportive work culture, and champion initiatives that drive positive change and foster equal opportunities for women.
Dr. Mattos holds a Robotics and Automation Engineering degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), a Master's in Supply Chain Management from MIT, a Master's in Transportation Engineering from UFMG, a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from UFMG, an MBA in Marketing from Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), and specialized training in Fashion and Luxury Management from MIT Sloan. In 2018, she relocated to Boston for a postdoctoral appointment, where she collaborated with the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics, the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative, taught in the MIT Leadership Engineering Program and was nominated board member of the MIT Women’s Advisory Group.
